Enchanting flowers of smoky purple with a deep purple eye opens first at the base of the flower stalk which can top out at 4.5 feet! Attractive gray-green foliage. Very long blooming. Attracts butterflies. Deer resistant.
This is a natural hybrid of Baptisia australis and Baptisia alba.
Discovered by Rob Gardner of the North Carolina Botanic Garden.
